I hate “skeeting.” I hate “skooting,” or shooting and being shot. Over there, I hated tweeting, and I guess now I would hate xitting (pronounced properly with a -sh-).
But I comment, though. What a perfectly usable word: “comment.” There’s also “remark.” Or even “mark,” as in the old phrases, “mark my words,” and “mark this.”
I cannot comprehend WHY the obvious term is *neither* skeet *nor* skoot...
